2001 911 cab with 79k miles. Seller says he doesn’t know about the IMS bearing status. So is it a nice low-mile 911 for a decent price, or a grenade with the pin pulled?

Bare model 996 Cab with a slushbox and boring colors.
Not sure on the value but I would do the IMS on this right away - IIRC cars that were babied are *more* likely to have IMS problems.

They know the IMS hasn’ t been done, that’s why it is priced the way it is.

CP but not by a lot. The auto really isn’t helping the situation. I’d bet t he IMS hasn’t been done.

I read it’s a $4000 job. Yikes.

If a buyer thinks the car is worth 16.5+4=20.5k, the deal isn't bad. But personally I think it's too undesirable a model for that cost. I would at least want a manual.
